38 Weeks

At my appointment 2 weeks ago, my doctor said I was already 1 cm dilated, 90% effaced, and Sophia was at Stage -1, which meant she could wait the full 4 weeks until her due date or come much sooner. I wasn't at this point with Max until I went into labor!

I have been feeling much more uncomfortable this time around-the pressure and feeling of her dropping seems to bother me much more, and my braxton hicks are much stronger and more frequent. At my first prenatal visit, my doctor warned me of all of this, and at my last appointment, she said, "Welcome to your second pregnancy!"

The heartburn hasn't been as bad with her, but the constant need to pee, tiredness, and really strong food cravings (and need to snack a lot!) have been quite similar. I've even been craving certain things at specific points in my pregnancy as I did with Max.

She also seems a bit more laid-back with Max. He was VERY active, and it felt like he was doing somersaults and karate kicks up until the very end. She is definitely active, but in a much more mellow, just waving her hand kind of way. I feel Max's personality now really fits how he acted while still in utero, even down to my cravings, so it will be interesting to see her personality.

So far, I've shockingly only gained 28 pounds, which I feel like should be more considering how much I snack:
