Baby Showers Rock!

We received enough diapers to last us 4.5 months, enough wipes to last 9, and we just had to buy our first diaper genie insert, so they made it almost 19 months. I was actually surprised when I reached in the closet only to find there were none left.

I know it's not customary to have a shower for the 2nd kid, but I may just try to pull it off:)

Halloween

This was Max trick-or-treating with my nieces, Addie and Lexi, and unfortunately, this was the only shot I could get of all of them together. They wouldn't hold still:)

We went trick-or-treating twice-once in Kalamazoo and once in Tekonsha. During the Tekonsha route, Max spotted a slide, so we had to take a detour.

For our Kalamazoo venture, we went to a local Trunk-Or-Treat. It was a great set-up for small children, and one church member had a couple of small rabbits and a baby goat for the kids to pet. Max liked the hay maze, but he was a little confused with all of the "big" kids rushing past him, so Alex had to help him out:)

Max saw one of his friends, Drew, there.

Inside, they had hot cider and a cookie decorating station for the older children.

Max insisted on having his own chair:)

Alex's Birthday

The weekend after his birthday, Charly's parents treated us to an overnight trip at a nearby hotel that houses a water park. It was a great idea, and I think we may do something like this in the future rather than buy gifts! Sadly, Charly didn't take any pictures while Max was in the water, but we have some good ones of Alex.

Fall Classes

Max took a swimming and Kindermusik class, and Alex continued soccer. He started the fall by playing in an outdoor league and has since moved back to an indoor one that will play until Christmas.

Since I don't actually have pictures of the kids in their various activities, I stole them! However, they are really good depictions of what we did:)

Beautiful Fall Day

I love the switch in his expression here; I guess the geese came too close for comfort!

These were taken nearly a month ago, at a park near our home, when we had a beautiful, 70 degree weekend. Unfortunately, I could not post them for awhile (due to Xanga), so I have some backlogged photos.

Max's New Friends

Julie, the head teacher
Angie, the 2nd teacher

Jaren, on the right, is one of Max's favorites!

This is Max's 2nd week at daycare, and things still seem to be going well. Jaren likes to greet me when I pick up Max and always tells me things like, "I'm his favorite; he likes to hang out with me all day!" One day last week, he told me, "You have the cutest 18th month old I've ever known". When I asked him if he has any brothers or sisters, he said, "Yeah, I have 1 brother and 1 sister, but neither are as cute as Max", and I thought, this is one smart kid!:)

Julie said he loves looking up to the older kids to see how they do things, and aside from the foam, his favorite activity is eating:)

Max's Halloween Costume-For Next Year!

I'm pretty frugal, and I love a good deal, so I found this for $3 when it was originally $30! I got major props from Charly because it's the old school, original costume and there's a Captain America movie coming out this year (I pretended like I knew), so he thinks this will be pretty popular. I just hope it still fits him!
