We received enough diapers to last us 4.5 months, enough wipes to last 9, and we just had to buy our first diaper genie insert, so they made it almost 19 months. I was actually surprised when I reached in the closet only to find there were none left.
I know it's not customary to have a shower for the 2nd kid, but I may just try to pull it off:)
