Max's obsession with skateboards has been strong for months now, so we finally broke down and bought him one. It all started with Alex, of course. Whatever brother does, Max wants to do, but he's been REALLY drawn to the board and is always trying to ride it.
Earlier this summer, I bought him a Fisher Price xylophone, which has a skateboard shape and wheels on the bottom, and he insists it his his board and tries to ride it. It goes about 2 inches, and it is more likely to trip him than anything, so I thought it was about time he got the real thing. Of course, he has a helmet and pads, but for his first few rounds, I am making him ride on the carpet:)
When I first showed it to him, he asked with the sweetest and most excited smile on his face, "Is that my skateboard?"
Charly is getting him ready for bed, and I can hear him asking to have his story with skateboard and take it to bed with him. I assume that means it's a hit!
