Sophia at 6 Months

Well, I'm saying it's 6 months. If you go by my doctor, who counts by weeks, I'm over 6 months at 25 weeks, but if you go by the traditional calendar setting, I still have until July 21st. I'm growing her, so I'm calling it 6 months.

She's roughly 13 inches long, weighing in at 1.5 lbs., and she is getting active! My placenta is anterior, so I haven't felt her quite as much as I did Max, but as she gets larger, that is changing. Her two favorite things seem to be jumping on my bladder and having a party EVERY SINGLE NIGHT at 3 a.m., as I have to pee 4 times per night now.

I had a pretty big weight jump in the past month, gaining 7 lbs. in 5 weeks! However, I felt better when I looked back at the calendar I kept while pregnant with Max, and I did the exact same thing with him, staying at the low end of the weight scale until week 20 and then suddenly having a spurt. I'm now up to a total of 17 lbs, and by this point with him, I was at 16, so it's nice to see I'm not gaining a ton of extra weight just because this is my 2nd, and I'm going to do my best to keep it that way. Of course, when I mom was pregnant with me, she only gained 16 lbs. throughout her entire pregnancy!!!!

I'm definitely showing more, which I don't mind. This is very likely my last pregnancy, and I'm in the good stage of having the belly but not being too uncomfortable yet, and I LOVE feeling her move so often-definitely my favorite part of being pregnant. I look forward to the end of the day when I can sit down, put my feet up, and just rub my belly while talking to her.

As I am showing more at 6 months than I did with Max, it's interesting to note people's reactions. With him, I would have acquaintances at work, who I didn't know very well, ask my boss, "Is Andrea pregnant? I want to congratulate her, but I don't want to say anything until I'm sure". Just last week, I had 3 separate people I hadn't seen in a few months state, "Congratulations on Baby #2!", and there was absolutely no hesitation or trying to hint around to find out if I actually am. I really don't mind at all-to me, it shows that I truly look pregnant, not just like I am gaining weight, so I must be doing something right:)

The nauseua (finally) has been completely gone for some time, but I still love to sleep!
